Newcastle have tried to sign Crystal Palace and England centre-back Marc Guehi this summer. But have had four bids rejected so far. With the Magpies reportedly set to revive their interest in Barcelona’s Christensen.

According to previous reports, Barcelona have no plans to let Christensen leave. But Mundo Deportivo has revealed that the Blaugrana are willing to let the player leave if an offer of around €30 million arrives at the club.

Christensen came on as a substitute in Barcelona’s 2-1 season-opener at Valencia after Hansi Flick replaced Pau Gubarsi in the 64th minute, suggesting the 28-year-old is unlikely to be as important a player in the German’s plans.

Andreas Christensen, one of the four free signings alongside Kessie, Marcos Alonso, and Héctor Bellerín from last summer, has perhaps been the biggest success of all.

The former Chelsea man quickly established himself as Xavi’s first-choice left-sided centre-back. With his composure in possession and solid physicality. Still, that doesn’t mean Christensen’s future is secure at Camp Nou.
